 The
roads are fairly dreadful in much of Kerry, but the scenery is fantastic
- loads of open space, and some little lanes leading through the MacGillycuddy
Reeks which include the highest mountain in Ireland.The Dingle peninsula
has some fine rides, including the Connor pass which links the north and
south sides.
I took my old 250 up there a few years
ago and had some great tours, apart from one time where a local farmer
had decided to change his gearbox oil - only he drained the old oil out
on the road! on a corner too. I manged to stay aboard the bike but the
smell of hypoid was with me for the rest of the day.
